Instruction for filling online application
Read the following instructions carefully before filling up the online application
  • For the first time, an applicant should register on the IIT Patna Recruitment Portal with a valid email id and mobile number, after which, he/she can fill up the online application form. The registered e-mail id and mobile number will be used for future correspondence/notification.
  • Before starting to fill up the form, please ensure to keep ready a soft copy of passport-size colour photograph, digital signature, and other relevant documents in jpg or pdf format (not exceeding 100 KB) for uploading.
  • Filling all mandatory fields is essential to make your application complete.
  • There are several sections in the complete online application form. After completing each section, you should click on "Save and Next" button to save the information before moving to the next section.
  • Multiple entries in tabular form are possible. After each data entry, don’t forget to click the  add command.
  • Incomplete applications or applications with junk entries /data will not be considered and will be SUMMARILY REJECTED
  • While filling online application, if your browser closes unexpectedly or if you are logged out, you can continue to enter information from the last saved data after login again.
  • In case of any technical problem, please contact the help desk number or email given at top-right corner of the page.
  • On successful submission, you will come across a link to print the application. A printout of the application form must be obtained and preserved for future reference. It will be required at the time of document verification/interview. The hard copy of the application should not be sent to the Institute.
  • Applicants who are in Government employment / PSUs / Government autonomous institutions /Central and State Govt. undertakings are advised to inform their parent organization. They should submit the No-Objection-Certificate (NOC) or self-declaration stating that the NOC will be produced at the time of the interview.
  • You should complete filling in all necessary sections before you finally submit your application. Please note that no change is allowed after the final submission.
  • Candidates applying to more than one department should submit a separate application to each department.
